The starting salary for this position is $15.75 per hour.

Summary / Primary Purpose : To interview and determine client needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Support the Mission of The Salvation Army
- Greet all clients and visitors in person or via phone in a friendly and courteous manner, return calls left on the answering system and ensure messages both received and taken are promptly provided to the appropriate person.
- Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the position
- Conduct interview and determine client needs.
- Make referrals to other community agencies as needed.
- Attend appropriate community meeting approved by Corps Officer(s)
- Work with utility assistance, understand community resources, maintain positive working relationship with agencies, and provide assistance with resources available.
- Prepare check requests; submit to the Corps Officer(s).
- Maintain client files (with confidentiality).
- Report all statistical information
- Keel logs / produce reports as needed.
- Work with corps officer(s) and other staff on holiday and special programs.
- Support the mission of The Salvation Army; refer client to appropriate staff for spiritual needs support.
- Maintain food pantry stock, order needed food, and keep pantry and surrounding area neat and clean.
- Maintain communication with other churches, and social work agencies, in an effort to meet the needs of the community.
- Maintain current budget in connection with Social Services work to The Salvation Army.
- Oversee an manage Pathway of Hope program (POH) in compliance with divisional headquarters (DHQ) and Corps Officer(s)
- Be a liaison for the senior companion program.
- Maintain and oversee monthly distribution of Senior Boxes, at the end of the month.
- Attend all monthly Advisory Boar Meetings and report on Social Ministries Program.
- Represent The Salvation Army professionally in the community.
- Driving is an essential aspect of this position.
- All other duties as assigned.
