2nd / Sous Chef / Cook (25) Sous Chef Ref : 2022-41671 Job Information Division : Caterplus Advert Closing Date : 28 / 02 / 2022 Contractual Hours : Part-time Salary : 7,195 Per annum Contract Type : Permanent Location : Selby, YO8 9RU Working Environment Chef required to support the running of the catering department within an independent living scheme.

This scheme caters for 40+ residents on a lunchtime service only

Job Description In line with government legislation it is a requirement of the role for all colleagues aged 18 or over and working in care homes to be vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they have a medical exemption.

You will be asked to provide evidence that you have had a full course of the COVID-19 vaccination, or declare that you have a medical exemption.

Your key responsibilities as the Sous Chef will consist of :

• Ensure full area of responsibility is clean, appropriately presented and stocked at all times
• Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients
• Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures
• Operate the till point as required throughout service, ensuring correct procedures are used
• Ensure all complaint handling is dealt with professionally and in line with procedures
• Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
• Ad-hoc duties to support the catering team and services

Working Pattern : 2 days over 7
