As an Administrative Assistant I, your core responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the office by providing essential administrative support.
You'll be the go-to person for managers, employees, and students, handling a range of tasks that meet the department's needs.
Mastering effective communication via phone and email, you'll ensure that all duties are performed accurately, with high quality, and delivered promptly.
As a part-time Administrative Assistant I at St. Francis School of Law, you will handle a variety of office tasks such as filing and setting up for meetings, organizing and maintaining both paper and electronic files.
You will manage a multi-line phone system, screen calls, and route them to the appropriate parties. Additionally, you will assist with entering required information into the applicant database and stay current by attending professional development courses and training as directed by the department director.
You will greet and assist employees, students, and guests, always maintaining a polite and professional attitude. Your responsibilities also include producing and distributing correspondence such as memos, letters, faxes, and forms, as well as receiving, sorting, and distributing mail accordingly.
Moreover, you will complete special projects as assigned, ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
The successful candidate will believe in and support the student first philosophy while contributing to the overall success of Baker College, and acting as a positive role model and brand ambassador on and off campus.
Establishing robust external relationships to bolster Baker College's vision and mission will also be a key responsibility.

Requirements
A high school diploma is required for this position, with an associate's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Ideally, candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of office administrative experience, demonstrating their ability to handle the various responsibilities effectively.
