support our development team during a period of transition and growth.

About this job

The Partnership aims to raise $27 million in the current fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).

Our team has a vacancy for a Manager of Major Gifts, which we expect to fill by

October. In the interim, we require the services of a skilled consultant to assist with

landscape mapping, donor prospect research, developing stewardship plans, and

preparing for the management and support of the team. Additionally, the consultant will

provide support during the VP of Development's planned 3-month sabbatical starting

January 1, 2025.

Scope of Work :

1. Landscape Mapping (Sept-Oct)

a. Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current fundraising landscape.

b. Identify potential funding opportunities and gaps.

c. Provide strategic recommendations to enhance fundraising efforts.

2. Donor Prospect Research (Sept-Oct)

a. Identify and qualify new major donor prospects.

b. Conduct in-depth research on potential donors, including individuals,

corporations, and foundations.

c. Develop donor profiles to inform engagement strategies.

3. Team Management and Support Preparation (Nov-Dec) :

a. Provide targeted interim management support to the development team.

b. Provide feedback and support rollout of transition plan to ensure seamless

support during the VP of Development’s sabbatical.

4. Sabbatical Support (Jan-early April) :

a. Oversee and manage critical development functions during the VP of

Development’s absence, including supervision of 3 staff members and

managing team meetings.

b. Maintain communication with major donors and stakeholders.

c. Ensure continuity of fundraising operations and progress towards

Proposal Requirements :

Interested consultants should submit the following :

1. A cover letter outlining their qualifications and experience.

2. A high level proposal on the approach to the scope of work and timeline for the

completion of each component of the scope of work.

3. A budget breakdown, including hourly rates and estimated total cost.

4. Three references from previous clients.
