General Summary of Job Duties
As a Lead Engineering Technician, you will be supporting the Engineering department. The responsibilities are the supervision of the properties Engineering department.
Coordinate all the work orders and for all repair work for property and oversee the Preventative Maintenance system.
Job Functions
- Troubleshoot all casino equipment, including all heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, lighting.
- Work individually and as a member of the Engineering team to accomplish tasks.
- Be aware of safety issues and either repair or report such issues to the Director of Engineering.
- Follow through with preventative maintenance jobs to completion.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner and within budget.
- Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
- Replace damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings.
- Install items that deal with all functions of the casino operations.
- Patch and paint walls.
- Load, unload, and change HVAC filters.
- Keep HVAC and kitchen equipment clean and dust free.
- Repair tables, stools, chairs and office furniture by replacing or tightening loose hardware or components.
- Assemble and provide maintenance for furniture.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment including vacuums, sweepers, extractors, buffers, etc. by replacement of parts, electrical cords, brushes, belts, wheels and other components.
- Assist with snow removal.
- Assist other engineers on property, participating in projects as needed.
- Work with direct reports, guiding and helping them as needed.
- Work as a team and fairly distribute work with-in their shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education and Other Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma and / or GED required.
- At least 5 years of experience in facility maintenance.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
