We are looking for a Black Room Op erator to join the team at our Broken Arrow, Oklahoma location. This facility is located at 610 N. Poplar Avenue.

The Black Room Operator is responsible for initial preparation and mixing of raw components into batches of material to be transferred to the mill room.

The operator uses job travelers, the picklist, and other documentation for specifications and conformance. Individuals in this position must be able to work independently without direct supervision and work effectively with other team members.

No experience necessary. We will train !

1st shift (5 : 00 am - 1 : 00 pm) Monday through Friday

Pay for this position is up to $15.00 per hour.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reads and interprets the job traveler and the pick-list to assess specifications and to determine mixing and material instructions
• Observes the internal mixer operation, adjusts controls to ensure conformance with specified tolerances, and verifies that weights are accurate
• Works in the Millroom, as necessary, continuously tending the machine and the material, often feeding material back into the rollers and sometimes adding components until the material reaches proper consistency
• Places Safety Data Sheet labels on each ingredient
• Physically transfers material to the proper location and unloads trucks using a forklift, signs off on the transfer paperwork and accurately enters information as appropriate into the Management Resource Planning (MRP) system, Epicor
• Observes the protocols of First In / First Out inventory processes
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Millroom / Blackroom Supervisor or Lead or the Plant Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to understand and communicate details logically and accurately in English.
• Able to operate a forklift or obtain a Forklift Operators permit within the first 90 days of employment.
• Basic mathematics knowledge with the ability to read and understand mixing charts, formulas and compounding requirements.
• At least 3 years of experience working with heavy machinery preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Occasionally : drive, reach above shoulder with both hands, repeatedly push / pull up to 60 lbs., lift / carry up to 60 lbs.

Frequently : walk, lift upward with both arms outstretched, count and calculate, communicate details

Constantly : stand, handle / finger, wrist and elbow flexion, rotation and articulation

Other : Near point non-color vision, sense of touch, tolerance for temperature in a non-controlled environment
