Job Description / Preferred Qualifications
Position is within the Product Support Organization (PSO) of the KLA Services Division.
The role is defined to provide technical support for server products across multiple divisions, ensuring seamless operation and swift resolution of issues.
As a supervisory position, it involves leading and mentoring a team of technical specialists, leading all aspects of their work to maintain high standards of service delivery.
With a focus on hardware compute and database management, the role includes diagnosing complex system challenges and implementing effective solutions.
Knowledge of Linux, Python, or networking is considered a plus, enabling process automation and system optimization. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure server environments meet evolving business needs;
Establishes and maintains lines of communication with design engineering and software development on design, reliability and maintenance issues.
Ensures that engineers are current with the latest upgrades and / or new releases. May be involved in customer installation and training programs.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Scope :
Receives assignments in the form of objectives and resolves how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides mentorship to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.
Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
Job complexity :
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for acquiring solutions. Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and / or resolve technical problems.
Develops and coordinates schedules and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
Discretion :
Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will add to costs and may impact the short-term goals of the organization.
Interaction :
Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers and / or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.
Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
Supervision :
Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
- Knowledge and experience on leading a team of technical specialists is preferred
- Knowledge and experience on Linux, Python, or networking is considered a plus
- Strong communication, presentation, technical, analytical and data analysis skills is required.
- The position requires 3 days onsite.
- Travel Required 25%
Minimum Qualifications
2 years related work experience with a Master's Level Degree OR equivalent work experience; 3 years of related work experience and a Bachelor's Level Degree OR equivalent work experience
