Summary / Objective
Assemble mechanical components and fabricated parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment in the building of slot cabinets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Read, interpret, and follow technical documentation such as build guides, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble mechanical components and fabricated products.
- Perform assembly tasks with experience and proficiency at most of the mechanical assembly and sub-assembly stations.
- Performs calibration tests on parts and mechanisms for tolerance levels and quality; identifies failed quality and out of tolerance units, and repairs as necessary.
- Plans and performs work relying on experience and judgement along with guidance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Assisting in other areas on the production floor as needed.
- Assists in training new assemblers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- No experience needed, will train.
- Ability in using tools (e.g. drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods of time.
- Maintains excellent attendance.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand, walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
- Vision abilities requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth
- Required to lift, push, pull, and / or carry up to 50 lbs. continually.
- May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.
- Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.
