Electrical Engineer- II

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and analyzing voltage regulators, transformers, and their subcomponent assemblies using appropriate engineering principles. This role will also support R&D projects, manufacturing equipment improvements, and equipment modeling. The position reports directly to the Head of Engineering at the voltage regulator factory in Richland, MS.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Design electrical components for voltage regulators and transformers, with a focus on traction transformers.
• Perform electrical calculations on transformer components (winding, core, insulation, heat transfer) to support design.
• Utilize 2D software for engineering drawings and creating bills of material.
• Lead and collaborate on R&D projects to improve products and provide innovative customer solutions.
• Assist the manufacturing team with equipment improvements and support drafting technicians in drawing creation and revisions.
• Troubleshoot engineering issues and effectively communicate across functional groups to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements.
