Dining Room Attendant - Granville Towers

We are hiring a Dining Room Attendant to be our front of line greeter to our customers. As a Dining Room Attendant, you will monitor dining room activity and ensure a clean and safe eating area.

In this position, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

• Keeping the serving area clean, free of trash and fully stocked.
• Monitoring the students entering and leaving the café and greeting residents / guests.
• Working with customers to handle customer service issues.
• Performing sanitation and food service cleaning to meet the required standards.
• Cleaning all assigned areas thoroughly using cleaning checklist and correct sanitary procedures. Follow all health department rules for sanitation.
• Filling unattended positions as needed.
• Performing other tasks and duties required to successfully and efficiently operate the Food Service.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Knowledge of food safety including understanding and utilizing (kitchen) sanitation requirements concerning food handling and storage.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have, upon first day of employment a food handler’s certification card with the local regulatory agency.
