As a Hospitalist Medical Director at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY, you will lead a dynamic team of physicians and advanced practice providers dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Your role will encompass clinical oversight, utilization management, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives, all while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Local Team Collaboration :

  • Join a welcoming team of 18 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers, working closely with hospital staff to ensure the highest quality of care.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified in internal medicine or family medicine.
  • Active medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Hospitalist Medical Director preferred.

    • Practice in the Heart of the Community

    Scheduling :

  • Enjoy a Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Complete 3 clinical shifts per month.

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oversight and nurture a family-like environment within a collaborative team.
  • Lead initiatives in utilization management, compliance, and clinical documentation improvement.
  • Work with hospital administration to implement performance improvement strategies.
  • Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings, offering ongoing education and support.
  • As a day clinician, round on patients, manage discharges, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
  • Work in a co-managed ICU with intensivist support—no procedures or vent management required.
  • Be part of the rapid response and code team, certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR and access our internal informatics platform.
