JOB OVERVIEW
This position is for a seasonal part-time Lift Operator Lead. The Lift Operator Lead will lead the daily operations of Hoedown Hill’s surface lifts in accordance with established HoeDown Hill Lift Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures, Colorado Tramway regulations, and safety protocols.
This is a guest-facing position with a focus on providing an exceptional guest experience.
Essential Job Functions :

- Must demonstrate a strong commitment to punctuality and maintain consistent attendance to fulfill daily responsibilities.

- Consistently express a friendly, congenial, and helpful attitude while effectively providing guests and fellow employees with assistance, information, and directions
- Provide exceptional guest experience : From operating activities to answering questions and helping guests navigate the experiences safely
- Work as a team player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments as needed
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests throughout the day
- Assist with special events and large groups
- Leads operations for all HDH surface lifts
- Be professional, engage with customers, stay alert, and use good communication skills with all customers at all times.
- Leads the HDH Lift Operations team through all daily operations including position assignments, break schedules, and making sure all expectations of operations, guest experience, and safety are met.
- Leads the safety of all lift riders, and always makes sure they follow the guidelines for riding.
- Leads the daily set up of the mazes and signage making sure the loading and unloading ramps are maintained throughout the shift.
- Verifies all daily operations safety / lift inspections and checklists are completed on time & correctly
- Leads the daily lift operations startup and shutdown of all HDH surface lifts in accordance with HDH standard operating procedures
- Report any injury or near miss to the Manager on Duty immediately.
- Verifies all the paperwork including the pre-shift log sheet and the downtime logs if necessary.
- Knowledge of and compliance with all departmental HDH Lift Operations Standard Operating Procedures.
- Understanding of LOTO awareness & confined space entry
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements :
- Excellent communications skills
- Two years of management experience
- Approximately 35 to 40+ hours weekly are expected during the season
- Hour Availability :
- M-TF : 3 : 00 PM 9 : 30 PM
- Sat, Sun & Holidays : 7 : 30 AM 9 : 30 PM
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Basic troubleshooting skills to identify problems and safety issues and the ability to execute resolutions
On-Hill Environment :
- The primary physical environment in which this position works is outdoors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind, and rain.
- The degree of strenuous activity within the job is high. Often lifting a weight of 25+ pounds throughout the day is common.
- Additional strenuous physical activity may include walking or hiking on uneven, challenging terrain with equipment.
Expected Pay Range : $18-$20 per hour
Shift type : Part-Time, Weekends and Holidays
