We are seeking a highly motivated researcher interested in leveraging the power of chemical biology to translate promising small molecule drug candidates into clinical trials for pediatric brain and solid tumors.
employs state-of-the-art cell-based high-throughput and high-content screening technologies, advanced bioinformatics and machine learning approaches, and a unique collection of patient-derived orthotopic xenograft tumor models to : (a) investigate drug molecular mechanism of action, (b) identify drivers of drug resistance and sensitivity, and (c) develop combination strategies that enhance in vivo efficacy while preserving a therapeutic window.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cancer biology, significant experience with high-throughput drug screening, and be comfortable working with 2D and 3D cell culture techniques.
The applicant is encouraged to harness the world class available at St. Jude to accelerate their research and seek new insights.
The selected candidate will work alongside basic scientists, clinicians, and pharmacologists in a project team environment, with the goal of translating research findings into clinical trials for children with cancer.
Minimum Education :
Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific area is required.
Minimum Experience :
- Five (5) years of relevant, post-degree work experience is required
- Two (2) years of relevant post-degree work experience is required with a Master's degree
- No experience is required with a PHD

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $65,520 - $114,400 per year for the role of Lead Researcher Chemical Biology and Therapeutics.
