As we embark on our next phase of growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Supply Chain to join our team.

This position is a fully onsite role based at our offices in Youngstown, OH . You will be required to work at our Youngstown location during all designated working hours.

The Director, Supply Chain at Gasser Chair is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes.

This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials, timely production, and seamless distribution of Gasser Chair products.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES : Specific responsibilities of this position will include, but will not be limited to :

• Develop and implement strategic supply chain plans that are aligned with the overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with company leadership to ensure the supply chain strategy supports Gasser Chair's growth and profitability targets.
• Analyze market trends and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply of raw materials.
• Lead the procurement process, negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
• Continuously evaluate and qualify new suppliers to enhance the diversity and competitiveness of the supply base.
• Identify cost saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize supply chair costs without compromising quality or service.
• Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
• Implement demand forecasting techniques to ensure adequate stock availability while avoiding overstock situations.
• Monitor inventory turnover rates and lead initiatives to improve inventory efficiency.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with departments such as manufacturing, sales, and accounting to ensure alignment and coordination.
• Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to provide updates on supply chain performance, challenges, and opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. Master's degree a plus.
• Proven experience in a senior supply chain management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Demonstrates high emotional intelligence, able to understand and manage emotions effectively, and build strong relationships across diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement efficient supply chain solutions.
• Exhibits a passion for coaching and developing talent, empowering team members to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to the organization's success.

Physical Requirements

The Director, Supply Chain role at Gasser Chair is expected to perform job duties that involve the ability to speak fluent English, sitting for extended periods, working at a computer workstation.

Travel may be necessary on occasion. This may involve long periods of sitting during flights or ground transportation. Proficient manual dexterity is essential for tasks such as typing, handling documents, and operating electronic devices.
