We're hiring a driven construction project manager to oversee residential and commercial solar energy system installations.

Responsibilities
- Prevent injuries, slowdowns, and project risks by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites, and reporting safety regulation issues promptly.
- Conduct business with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors to negotiate profitable contracts.
- Keep key stakeholders informed of the project's status by producing frequent progress reports.
- Lead, manage, and hold direct reports accountable.
- Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, designers, JHAs, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Manage the installation schedule, coordinating all construction timelines and operations into an intuitive plan so the team is on track to meet deadlines.
- Supervise crew leads and subcontractors, providing direction when needed to ensure the quality of the job.
- Requisition of materials, equipment, and services on time and within the project budget.
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained from the appropriate authorities and ensure construction is up to code.
- Communicate billing milestones to Accounting in a timely manner.
- Keep project management tools and software up to date.
- Provide technical assistance to crew members as needed and identify areas for training.
- Check to commission reports at the end of each project. Facilitate handoff back to Sales / Service.
Qualifications
- Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly valued.
- Excellent time-management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience using construction or project management software preferred.
- Finished training for OSHA 30 license.
- At least one year of previous experience as a construction project manager required.
- Understanding of solar energy systems and / or roofing desired.
- Post-secondary credential or Journeyman-level training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Supervisory, budgeting, and planning experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles.
