Good Samaritan University Hospital recently broke ground on its Patient Care Pavilion. This 300,000 square foot addition will be located on the northeast portion of the campus and feature a 75-bay Emergency Department, 16 high-tech replacement operating rooms and three floors of private patient rooms.

Position Overview :

As an Advanced Practice Provider in our Neuro ICU, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with severe neurological conditions.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to manage and treat patients in the Neuro ICU.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients in the Neuro ICU.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and effective patient care.
• Monitor and manage patients’ progress, including interpreting diagnostic tests and making treatment adjustments as necessary.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and care plans.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to the development of care strategies.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and clinical findings.

Qualifications :

• Master’s degree in Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, or a related field.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with relevant board certification.
• Licensure to practice as an NP or PA in the state of New York.
• Experience in a critical care or Neuro ICU setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage complex neurological conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaborative team-based care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and empathy.
