Some of the responsibilities of Process Design Engineer may include :

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement. Design and implement solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Manage the end-to-end design of new manufacturing processes, including planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, and overseeing the implementation to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Collaborate with product development teams to design production processes that meet new product specifications, ensuring manufacturability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop processes that comply with industry regulations and company standards. Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Work with tooling and equipment teams to design and optimize tools that improve production efficiency and product quality.

Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

Collect and analyze data from production processes to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and process enhancements.

• Lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement, such as Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects. Promote a culture of innovation and efficiency within the production team.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of process designs, standard operating procedures, and training materials to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer across the organization.
• Provide technical support to production teams by diagnosing and resolving process-related issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
• Work closely with clients and suppliers to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into process designs. Ensure that suppliers meet quality and delivery standards for materials and equipment.

Requirements / Responsibilities

Process Design Engineer Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a
• 2-4 years of experience in process design or engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of process design, improvement, and manufacturing methods.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are a plus but not mandatory.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage small projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Good communication skills for working with team members and presenting ideas.
