Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Consultant, with excellent customer service and sales skills, to join our team at Bellingham Nissan.
The Automotive Service Consultant is a key customer-facing position and the liaison between our customers and the Service Department.
The successful candidate will use their exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation consists of a competitive base plus commission based on performance. Benefits include paid time off, medical and dental coverage, and 401(k).
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and address their service concerns promptly and efficiently
- Follow-up with customers on service work status
- Update customers on service timelines
- Follow-up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction
- Ascertain customer needs and make appropriate service recommendations
- Educate customers on service-related topics
- Handle escalated customer complaints and service issues and resolve quickly
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers
- Climb into, climb over, work on, and sit in vehicles
- Input and document customer and vehicle information into network
- Accurately document maintenance, service, and repairs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of diagnostic and repair information systems
- Proven customer service and sales skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maneuver in, on, and around vehicles
- Computer-literate
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
