Director Sterile Processing-(3301374)
Description
Has Direct responsibility for maintaining departmental workflows at satellite processing locations including decontamination, prep and pack, inventory management and case pick functions.
Oversees and directs the daily technical activities of all departmental employees, supporting the reprocessing of medical and surgical equipment;
ensuring items are ensembled in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring patient safety through active management of infection control processes, sterility assurance, and equipment / instrumentation availability, each in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Required Level : High School Diploma / GED
Preferred Level : Associate degree
Required Certification : CRCST or CBSPD
Types of Experience : Progressive Sterile Processing in a peri-operative setting. Lead SPD Technician, Surgical Scrub Tech, or prior supervisory experience.
