POSITIONSUMMARY : The Lung Nodule Coordinator leads andfacilitates the development, implementation, and ongoing adherenceto identifying and treating lung nodule patient populations.
TheLung Nodule Coordinator works under the supervision of the Directorof Pulmonology, Clinic Manager, Pulmonary Specialists, andCardiothoracic Surgeons.
This position develops systems of carethat monitor patient progress and promote early intervention. Workeffectively with other healthcare team members to optimizeinterventions and manage community outreach to promote diseaseawareness and the offerings of the specific clinic focus.
The LungNodule Coordination will manage the utilization and practicemetrics to refine the delivery of care model to maximize clinical,quality, and fiscal outcomes.
The RN Coordinator also ensures theseprograms adhere to the mission and vision ofCSV.
Requirements
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : Graduate ofan accredited school of nursing with an ADN, BSN, or MSNdegree
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : Hold a valid NM RN license. Current BLScertification; ACLS within 6 months
SKILLS :
- Excellent reading, writing, and editing skills inEnglish
- Familiarity with Epic and ability toeffectively evaluate medical records
- Must beable to understand graphical displays of data
- Strong organizational skills
- Must beself-directed
- Excellent telephone andcommunication skills
- Ability to articulateinformation or data to multiple audiences with varying levels ofknowledge and expertise
- Demonstrate skills inMicrosoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
EXPERIENCE : 3+ years ofnursing experience in a critical care setting or RN levelexperience for the related specialty; One (1) to two (2) years ofQuality Improvement experience desired.
