USA Vein Clinics, USA Vascular and Fibroid Centers is seeking Patient Collections Representative to join our team!
As a member of the USA Vein Clinics team you will be responsible for contacting patients regarding their outstanding balances.
This position will be proactively resolving missing data issues, answering questions about why a patient has a liability, and securing payment.
This position will work closely with the Manager of Revenue Cycle to ensure patients are being appropriately informed about their financial responsibility.
The Patient collection representative is an important patient interaction point for the organization.
This position works onsite in our Northbrook, IL corporate office. Remote work is not an option.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing a dialer to contact patient
- Providing an interpretation of the patient’s benefits and, so our patient understand why they have a balance owed.
- Responsible for interacting with USA Vein Clinics leadership and providing regular performance updates.
- Properly documentation all patient interactions
- Requesting payment for outstanding balance in full or setting up a payment plan meeting company guidelines
- Confirms and update patient identification and demographic / insurance information on each contact.
Negotiate with customers to arrive at the best resolution outcome for the company.
- Have a full understanding of insurance processing for both in and out of network
- Ensure all collection efforts are compliant with all applicable rules and regulations.
Performance Expectations
- Collect 100K a month
- Have a total talk time of >
250min per day or have total outbound call in excess of 200 calls
- Clearly and accurately document all patient interaction
- Appropriately assign task for next scheduled interaction with the customer
- Follow all of the established discount policies of the organization
- Clearly pronounce you name and where you are calling from on every call
- Make all calls presented to you by the dialer
- Call all patients back same day with resolution to issues or complain
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of physician medical billing / collections experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Extensive knowledge of the use of email, internet; ability to effectively use payer websites and use of Microsoft Products : Outlook, Word, Excel.
