Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment used in the kitchen.
  • Operating the dishwasher and following proper procedures for loading and unloading items.
  • Sorting, stacking, and organizing clean dishes and utensils in designated storage areas.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and mopping floors and wiping down surfaces.
  • Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of chemicals and sanitizing solutions.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of clean dishes.
  • Following all safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Providing support to the kitchen team as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to help in various tasks.

Qualifications

  • Dishwashing experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
  • Able to read documents and written instructions to understand sanitation requirements, safety rules, equipment operation and maintenance, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation a plus
  • Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays
  • Able to work within a fast-paced, highly mobile, yet small space environment Able to stand, kneel, bend, and walk for up to 8 hours per day
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Able to withstand temperatures up to 105 degrees
  • Able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the work location
  • Ability to perform essential functions to company standards with reasonable accommodation
