Position Summary : The Cardiovascular Technologist is a member of the Cardiac Cath / Electrophysiology (EP) team and works alongside the EP Cardiologist or Interventional Cardiologist and Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care, before, during and after interventional / diagnostic cath lab and EP cases.

The incumbent of this position will be able to function in all three rolls (scrub, circulator assists, and recorder) in all interventional / diagnostic cath lab cases and be able to function as a scrub and circulator assist in all EP cases and be able to operate the equipment in the cath lab.

Qualifications :

  • Associate Degree in Health Science (cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or ultrasound) OR for radiology technologists must have certification and current registration as a radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist with a current Florida State License as a Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • 1 year of cardiac cath / EP lab experience preferred
  • Must be certified as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Cardiac Interventional Radiographer (CI), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiographer (CV), or Vascular Interventional Radiographer (VI)
  • ACLS / PALS / BLS within one year of hire

Shift : Full-Time, Day shift, Weekend work and call is required.
