About the Position
The Student Health Center's Medical Office Receptionist performs clerical and patient service tasks at the front desk of University Health Services and provides customer service for a diverse population of university age patients in a university setting.
The WA state classification for this position is : Patient Services Representative
Required Qualifications

- High School Diploma or Equivalent and two years of general office experience or one year of office or customer service experience in a health care setting
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in dynamic work environment
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to handle confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience in an Urgent Care, Family Practice, or Higher Education Clinic
- Current Certified Medical Assistant
- Experience using an electronic medical record
- Experience using Microsoft Teams for phone calls, meetings & messages
Salary Bargaining Unit
This position is covered by a Washington Federation of State Employees bargaining union. New employees are eligible for membership under the current collective bargaining agreement at hours of employment.
With the new law regarding temporary employees; you are only able to work one temporary appointment for Western.
