About the team
As a Head of Issue and Product, Outreach and Partnerships for T&S, you will lead the team of issue experts responsible for engaging external voices to deliver insights and recommendations to Trust and Safety policy and product teams.
The team leads external engagement for such safety topics as Youth Safety & Well-being, Integrity & Authenticity, Mental Health, Hate & Harassment and Exploitation and Abuse.
You will work with your team and across Trust and Safety to design comprehensive external engagement strategies and objectives that advance safety on the platform.
You will also partner closely with your teammates on the T&S Regional Outreach and Partnerships team to ensure diverse voices are incorporated into policy and product development.
Responsibilities- Day to day management of the Issue & Product Outreach and Partnerships team for T&S. - Work cross-functionally, building synergy and influence with multiple departments within T&S including Issue Policy, Product and cross functional partners in Public Policy, Communications, Core Product and other teams globally.
Collaborate across global product, program, and regional teams to define Issue and Product OPM external engagement priorities - Support team with maintaining internal and external research efforts to keep the team up-to-date on industry trends and emerging issues across key priorities - Help to ensure our company principles, policy development, and products are built in a way that understands structural and long-term impact to the TikTok community
Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years experience in external engagement roles in tech, advocacy, or government - 3+ years relevant experience in Trust and Safety or Trust and Safety related fields - Significant leadership experience, including experience managing a mid-sized team including team members at multiple levels- Ensure that the voices of organizations and experts who focus on platform safety and well-being are heard by T&S teams- Support team in building creating clear routes of consultation and engagement between Trust and Safety and external experts.
- Ability to succinctly describe your vision and highlight roadblocks to an executive audience, bringing desired coordination outcomes Preferred Qualifications- A scrappy energy and willingness to pitch in and help on work across the team.
