Job Summary :

As a BI Developer, you’ll create visually engaging reports using Power BI tools, design efficient semantic models, and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.

Your role involves collaborating with business users, understanding report requirements, and ensuring timely delivery. Ideal candidates have experience with advanced SQL queries, user interface design, and excellent communication skills.

Familiarity with Python, R, or JD Edwards is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, test and deploy visually appealing and interactive reports using Power BI tools
• Design and implement efficient semantic models in Power BI with the ability to create relationships, calculated columns and measures
• Maintain and updated SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports, including updating underlying SQL queries and converting report data sources from individual SQL queries to a data warehouse
• Provide friendly and collaborative technical support to business users reporting questions or issues about reporting
• Communicate with business leaders to understand report requirements
• Proactively manage expectations and meet deadlines

Requirements

• Two (2) years of development experience with development in Power BI (including Power BI Report Builder, Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Experience writing advanced SQL queries (including window functions, group by, CTEs, etc.)
• Understanding of user interface design and data visualization best practices
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Python and / or R a plus
• Experience in JD Edwards a plus
