Description
Duties include :
- Discuss learning, test-taking, and study strategies while assisting with coursework assignments and questions.
- Complete session feedback at the completion of each tutoring session.
- Assist student-athletes with composing study guides.
- Facilitate review sessions during midterm and final exams and / or as needed based on the course.
- Submit daily reports about sessions and communicate with the Academic Support Coordinator immediately about any concerns.
- Follow and uphold USF academic honesty policies and procedures.
The Athletics Tutor must abide by FERPA, NCAA, and WCC rules and regulations in
regard to best practices and privacy (training and education will be provided).
Knowledge and Skills :
Must have some education experience in teaching, tutoring, and / or working on study skill development. Expected to have knowledge of creating and developing structure, organization, and time management skills.
Preference is given to applicants with a completed bachelor’s degree and / or experience with ESL students.
