PURPOSE OF JOB :
Oversee the daily operations of our medical device production lines, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
This role involves leading a team of production staff of up to 30 personnel, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- People manager duties such as resource planning, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and discharges.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Oversee the daily operations of the production line to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of medical devices.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and meet or exceed production targets.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Ensure all products are manufactured in compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality policies.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
- Conduct regular process reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead kaizen events and other lean initiatives.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
- Stay updated with regulatory requirements related to medical device manufacturing and ensure compliance.
- Track and analyze production metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work closely with other departments, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to ensure smooth production operations.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to support company goals.
- Create and maintain a culture based on Respect, Honesty, and Delivering Results within the organization.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a production supervisory role within the medical device industry.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and proven experience in implementing lean practices.
- Excellent leadership and strong performance management experience.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to medical device manufacturing (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) is preferred.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS :
Customer service oriented and high level of organizational skills and accountability to meet deadlines.
