Job Responsibilities :

• Lead, manage and mentor the Fabrication and Welding team
• Ensure top-quality welding and fabrication workmanship and efficient production in the home manufacturing process, including :
• Read and interpret job travelers, drawings, welding procedures, and joint surface index
• Advanced welding machine setup and troubleshooting
• Efficiently fit and weld complete trailer assemblies
• Conduct quality checks to ensure high levels of quality assurance are met
• Measure, cut and install materials with precision and attention to detail
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with HUD codes
• Model and follow safety requirements at all times

Job Qualifications :

• Detailed knowledge of manufacturing welded steel products
• Proficient with short arc Flux Core and MIG welding. Certification required
• Advanced knowledge of grinding, gouging, and weld repair
• Minimum of 5 years of Welding / Fabrication experience (preferred)
• Personally owned hand tools and bag (preferred)

Physical Requirements :

• Conduct physical labor and strenuous tasks including bending, crouching, squatting, lifting and reaching.
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds
• Stand and walk on factory floor for extended periods of time
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for most of the day

Hours and Pay :

• Full-time, 5-day work week, expected 40 hours per week
• Schedule is Monday - Friday 7 : 00 am-3 : 30 pm (Hours may vary as they are subject to change based on manufacturing needs)
• Overtime and weekend work may occasionally be required, depending on production schedule
• $28.00 per hour (starting, depending on experience)
