Do you want to come and build beloved kids' games and apps with us?

Join our studio as Principal Art Director to lead the creative vision of live-service mobile apps for kids. You will drive a new IP from concept to launch and re-envision the modernization of the World of Peppa app! This opening is for a self-motivated, keen, and versatile individual with a shown ability to build, manage and encourage a team of game artists, ensuring that visual elements are of the highest quality while technically compliant.

This person will have strong skills in driving concept and reference, 2D or 3D art with a deep knowledge of technical pipelines and familiarity with optimizing and implementing art assets for game engines!

What you'll do :

  • Drive the strategic art vision for the look and feel of Find Your Fun’s game portfolio.
  • Lead internal and external art teams for 2D / 3D assets and VFX for Unity mobile games
  • Create a unified artistic strategy, set targets and benchmarks, and provide feedback on work.
  • Craft, own, and evangelize art vision, creation guidelines, and pipeline specifications.
  • Develop an outsourcing process that maintains the highest quality bar.
  • Balance creativity with production constraints
  • Collaborate with technical and production teams for optimized pipelines and schedules.
  • Stay updated on the latest advances in game art technique and technology industry trends.
  • Be an active mentor, leader, and role model for the art team.
  • Work to maintain morale and create an atmosphere of creativity and enthusiasm.
  • Be actively involved with recruitment, vetting candidates, performing interviews / recommending hires.

What you'll bring :

  • College Diploma / Degree in 2D / 3D, video game development or equivalent training / work experience.
  • 2 shipped game titles as an Art Director, 5 or more years at a Senior Level or above.
  • Experience working on a published Game as a Service from conception to release.
  • Familiar with direct-to-consumer and full-funnel marketing with a perspective on consistent customer and player design experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a high level of artistic creativity in one or more game art disciplines across a range of styles.
  • Deep understanding of the latest 2D and 3D techniques and art pipelines in Unity; Adobe Animate, Spine, Blender, ZBrush

Knowledge, Abilities, and Characteristics

  • Technical mentality with experience in implementing assets in game engines.
  • Understanding of fundamental art theory including principles of color, light, composition, and anatomy.
  • Shown ability to balance aesthetics with performance and usability.
  • Confirmed ability to present clear documentation communicating ideas both within the art team and to external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Positive influence and leadership skills - Motivates and encourages others to generate new ideas.
  • Good organizational skills. Anticipates, prioritizes, and plans own work.
  • Considerable understanding of live service mobile games and broad video game culture.
