Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities : Requirement Gathering : Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, product managers, implementation analysts, and developers, to gather and document detailed business requirements for SaaS applications.

Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.

Analysis and Documentation / Solution Design : Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.

Create detailed business and functional requirement documents, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams. Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements and are scalable, efficient, in-sync with other product initiatives, and aligned with best practices for SaaS applications.

Ensure solutions are designed to meet both current and future needs, incorporating feedback from various stakeholders. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to the development and deployment of SaaS applications.

I think this line is a bit vague. It sounds like this is more of a technical skill? What would be an example risk in this case?

UI / UX Collaboration : Work closely with UI / UX designers to integrate business requirements into user experience and screen design.

Familiarity with Figma or some other design tool is preferred Provide insights into user behavior and preferences to enhance the usability and visual appeal of the SaaS application.

Review wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to ensure they align with business objectives and user needs. Participate in the design and iteration of user interfaces to ensure an intuitive and engaging user experience.

Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and inform design decisions. Ensure the consistency of the user experience across all platforms and devices.

Testing and Validation / Change Management : Work with QA team members to develop and execute test plans to ensure that the developed solutions meet the business requirements.

Would reword this to Work with QA Team members to develop & document detailed testing plans that span all possible edge cases Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and work with stakeholders to resolve any issues.

Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies and plans. Provide training and support to end-users and implementation specialists to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.

Project Management Support : Assist project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure timely delivery within budget.

Track project progress and communicate status updates to stakeholders. Stakeholder Communication / Data Analysis and Reporting : Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals, deliverables, and timelines. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.

Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support business decision-making. Qualifications : Education and Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Business Analyst, preferably within a SaaS or software development environment.

Experience working with UI / UX designers on user experience and screen design projects. Working on a new product / feature from the requirements stage all the way through deployment is a large plus Technical Skills : Strong understanding of SaaS business models and architecture.

Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Experience with requirement management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

Familiarity with UI / UX design principles and best practices. Experience collaborating with UI / UX designers to create user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces.

Figma experience (Big plus). Ability to understand and translate user needs into effective design solutions. Familiarity with popular SaaS platforms and cloud technologies (e.
