Job Description
- Manage Product Engineers through New Product Introduction NPI program planning and execution, talent development and innovation.
- Ensure the execution of characterization, qualification, and mass production release activities to Automotive Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Industrial, and Commercial standards.
- Work closely with cross functional product development team management to execute per plan, manage risks, resolve problems efficiently and report status.
- Communicate effectively with Sr. management to report critical technical and business issues, and drive to quick resolution / solution.
- Key performance Indicator achievement in product-related deliverables including product cost (gross margin improvements), product quality performance, and failure analysis cycle times.
- Analyze and Drive Production / Foundry process improvements with the cross functional team.
- Establish and drive new proposals for product improvements (performance, yield, cost)
- Progression of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis FMEA over product lifecycle
- Support Return Material Authorization root cause finding (8D / 5 Whys / Fishbone).
- Drive Product Change Notification implementation and execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, or similar degree.
- 10 years to 12+ years of semiconductor or related electrical component development experience.
- 3+ years of experience in managing a team of engineers.
- Product Engineering specific experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following : Automotive ICs (especially Auto Battery Management System), Power Management ICs, and / or Precision Voltage / Current Measurement ICs.
- Experience contributing to business plans for new IC development and familiarity with Failure Analysis techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and Communicate issues concisely and effectively.
- Candidate must be excited to work with a growing team that is looking for leadership in best practices and methodologies.
- Show versatility when working on a variety of design disciplines, across multiple business lines, product, and functional groups
