Responsibilities
PeopleTec is currently seeking a Linux System Administrator to support our Huntsville, Alabama location.
The systems administrator candidate will be a member of a development team, supporting the team's IT needs by establishing configuration baseline and sustainment capabilities for Linux servers and workstations within an existing framework.
The ideal candidate will have proven skills in developing, deploying, and maintaining Linux images, strategy, and excellent documentation skills.
Duties :
- Experience with multifactor authentication deployment.
- Establish and maintain a Linux baseline image to be deployed to both workstations and servers.
- Establish and maintain methods to deploy configuration and policy updates to deployed images.
- Setting up administrator, service, and user accounts.
- Maintain system documentation.
- Maintenance of program specific configurations.
- Coordination with network administrators.
- Assist with procuring server hardware or cloud solution for the develoment team.
Qualifications
Required Skills / Experience :
- Experience with multifactor authentication deployment.
- Proficient administrating RHEL8 workstations.
- Experience supporting multiplatform solutions in a security conscious environment.
- Experience integrating Linux clients with Windows Active Directory / Azure Active Directory.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and must be able to work independently.
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with implementing security controls including familiarity with CMMC and NIST 800-171.
- Exposure to DevSecOps with knowledge of common tools and platforms.
- Certified to at least DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Sec+, CySA+, or CCNA-Security,
- Travel : 5-10 %
- Must be a . Citizen
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements :
- BS in a technical field
- 5+ years of experience
Desired Skills :
Experience establishing and administering the backend of a DevOps environment.
