summary We are searching for Maintenance Journeyman Electricians for direct hire opportunities for both union and non-union facilities.

Pay for this role is varying based on experience $34 - $36 / hour. Shifts available : 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. 5% each August. Employees earn a monthly bonus based on quality, production, and safety. Overtime is paid at 1 times the hourly rate until Sunday, where all hours are paid at double time as long as the employee has 48 hours going into Sunday Duties of a Maintenance Journeyman Electrician : Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.

Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts.

Starts devices to test their performance. Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. Repairs electrical equipment. Follows OSHA standard when performing lockout / tagout procedures.

required-skills : Maintenance Journeymen work every other weekend, alternating with the other journeymen. This can include holidays.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Government or company-sponsored apprenticeship program or degree preferred. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
