Our Charlotte based client is seeking a dynamic Senior Accounting Analyst responsible for a range of critical financial activities, including reserve analysis, balance sheet oversight, corporate reconciliations, policy creation and maintenance, internal control compliance, off-ledger M&A accounting, and month-end close processes.
This pivotal role involves collaboration with various corporate departments, sectors, and external partners, driving process innovation and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Accounting, the Senior Analyst will play a key role in enhancing financial processes and maintaining compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement innovative process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Reserve Analysis : Conduct analysis of specific balance sheet reserve accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Corporate Oversight : Support the oversight of the Corporate balance sheet by facilitating reconciliation reviews and holding monthly meetings with accounting departments and sectors.
- Policy Management : Establish and maintain policies to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Collaboration : Collaborate with business partners to ensure an accurate and successful month-end close.
- Month-End Close Activities : Execute monthly accounting close activities, including journal entries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. MS in Accounting preferred.
- CPA / CPA Candidate.
- 2-3+ years of accounting / finance experience (public accounting and / or industry).
- Experience with a large company (>
$3 billion sales preferred).
- Solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP.
- SAP & Hyperion / Essbase experience.
- Experience with SOX compliance testing & internal controls.
