WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Repair and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products
- Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services to solve potential issues
- Meet with customers onsite to review work before and after services
- Work with office staff to order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services
- Complete dispatches, work orders, and service requests accurately and on time
- Track and maintain job-related paperwork
- Submit paperwork to office staff in a timely manner often via company-issued phone
- Manage parts and materials on your company-issued vehicle
- Maintain a professional attitude in a safe working environment with a clean job site
YOU SHOULD HAVE
- 1+ years of experience in the servicing or installing automatic doors
- Comfortable using power tools and hand tools professionally or personally
- Mechanically-minded with a desire to continue learning
- Ready to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques
- Willing and able to work overtime with the possibility of weekends, as necessary
- Willing and able to be on-call, on a rotating basis with other ADW technicians
- Ability to stand, bend, and / or climb for long periods of time in a non-climate-controlled environment; lift 75+ pounds;
work at heights / use a ladder
- Familiar with basic computer skills, operating phone applications, and general communication via phone / email / messengers / text
- High school diploma / GED
- Unrestricted and valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screen
PREFERRED SKILLS NOT REQUIRED TO APPLY
- 2+ years of experience in one or more of these fields : construction, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, military, mechanical, or similar
- 1+ years of customer service / interaction experience
- Skilled understanding of mechanical, electrical systems, or wiring
- 1+ years using power tools and hand tools in a professional setting
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Organized, with a strong attention to detail
- Familiar with workflow within a construction job site or similar environment
