Sunset Imports is seeking a Certified Public Accountant with automotive dealership experience to join our team. As our CPA, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to the dealership's leadership team.

Your role will be crucial in managing financial operations, performing audits, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with dealership policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare for and coordinate external audits, working closely with auditors to ensure accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
  • Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Provide strategic tax planning advice to optimize dealership tax obligations.
  • Develop and manage the dealership's annual budget, providing accurate forecasts and financial projections.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard dealership assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Implement and monitor policies and procedures to enhance financial accuracy and prevent fraud.
  • Serve as a key financial advisor to the dealership's leadership team, providing insights on financial performance, profitability, and strategic planning.
  • Assist in evaluating potential investments, acquisitions, and other financial decisions.

Qualifications :

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in an automotive dealership accounting role, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of dealership accounting systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
