Workers Compensation Claims Examiner III Intro :
TRISTAR Risk Management is seeking a seasoned Workers Compensation Claims Examiner III to manage all aspects of indemnity claims handling from inception to conclusion.
This role is critical for the addition of staff to our new office and requires a professional with a strong background in workers' compensation and excellent communication skills.
Job Details :
This position involves effectively managing a caseload of 150 to 180 complex workers’ compensation files. Responsibilities include initiating and conducting investigations, determining compensability, managing medical treatment and billing, referring cases to defense counsel, and communicating with various stakeholders.
The role demands high analytical skills and the ability to compute and set reserves within company guidelines.
Mandatory Skills :
- Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology.
- Ability to manage very complex claims independently.
- Proficient in computing and setting reserves.
- Experienced in handling a large caseload of workers' compensation claims.
Desired Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the business environment.
