At Pioneer Search Group we focus as lead recruiters in the Material Handling Equipment and Automation and are currently assisting a client who is a leader in the space as they look to fill a motivated Branch Operations Manager to over see daily operations and drive success.
Position Purpose :
As a leader of leaders, the Branch Operations Manager will manage all branch functions and personnel, ensuring high-level performance and maximizing customer satisfaction through timely, high-quality service operations at competitive costs.
This role focuses on maintaining profit margins and a professional image for the company.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage all branch operations, including service, parts, and sales, with direct customer contact and oversight of billing cycles and equipment inventory.
- Lead and develop staff to achieve performance goals; promote teamwork and resolve conflicts.
- Supervise and schedule work for a diverse team, enabling them to meet performance and quality standards.
- Maintain positive communication with staff and customers, presenting information in a supportive and professional manner.
- Analyze and prioritize information to draw accurate conclusions and manage competing priorities.
- Design, implement, and refine systems to optimize performance and manage complex processes.
- Oversee hiring, training, and motivation of staff; maintain adequate staffing levels for efficient operations.
- Monitor department goals and objectives to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and business ethics; lead by example.
- Manage profit and loss for Service, Parts, and Rental lines of business.
- Promote safety and enforce safety rules and policies within the branch.
Education and Experience :
- 2+ years of management experien ce required.
- 2-5 years in a service-related industry preferr ed; experience in material handling is preferred .
- Supervisory experience with 2-6 direct reports preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office Professional and Windows.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with applicable government regulations, including OSHA (preferred).
Environmental and Physical Job Requirements :
Work primarily at a desk using a computer and phone, with occasional walking in shop areas. Must be prepared for dust, noise, and other conditions in these areas.
Majority of the work involves sitting at a desk, with occasional walking and standing. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs is required.
