Role Purpose :
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and leading the day-to-day and long-term strategic operational requirements of Heritage Expedition’s voyage programme to ensure that clients receive an exceptional experience.
Role responsibilities :
- Co-ordination and communication with Expedition Staff on a daily basis regarding operational requirements.
- Information sharing and coordinating an exemplary client experience from point of contact to post-voyage follow-up.
- Ensure all vessel operational requirements are met including repairs and maintenance, equipment specifications and health and safety requirements
- Effective liaison with Hotel Management around passenger movements and food supplies
- Manage permits and permissions for each voyage and clearly communicate particulars with Expedition Staff
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with external stakeholders
- Alongside Financial Controller and Operations Director, establish annual budgets that are aligned with operational forecasts
- Monitor actual expenditure against the budget. Investigate and provide reporting to the Operations Director on any variances
- Contribute to the delivery of the company’s leadership, culture, philosophy, and aspirations.
