Location :

This position will primarily report in person to our Airport Office Building at Denver International Airport, with an occasional opportunity for remote work.

The shifts will be Monday- Friday, 7am-4pm, but might include extended hours to fit the needs of the business.

This Tenant Facilities Project Manager position will report to the Director of Tenant Design and Construction of Concessions, a division that includes the Food and Beverage, Retail, and Passenger Services, and will assist by designing and developing the tenant buildout program.

As a result of large-scale DEN programs (Great Hall Phase II+, Concourse Expansion), and expirations of concession agreements, there will be more than 100 concession projects over the next few years.

This includes design and construction of new and remodeled spaces of more than 100,000sf of concession space.

Additionally, as a Tenant Facilities Project Manager you can expect to :

Collaborate on a regular cadence with key stakeholders to manage and orchestrate movements for all concession projects to ensure continuity of operations during a time of continued passenger growth at DEN.

Each concession project will include multiple project teams, designers and contractors

  • Assist with the development and implementation of the Concession Master Plan by providing guidance about design and development feasibility based on base building conditions and relevant building code
  • Manage the design and construction of all concession projects awarded through the RFP process, former Premium Value Concession awards, agreement extensions, and midterm renovations
  • Assist the DEN Concessions Team in resolving maintenance and code deficiency issues
  • Interface with multiple City agencies, Executives from multiple companies, divisions and organizations to ensure all stakeholders are included in the design / build / move process, schedules meet operational and organizational needs, and airport and Concession assets are managed throughout the process
  • Other projects related to programs in the DEN Concessions Division that will be assigned to this position as they manifest
  • Perform periodic site inspections during construction
  • Coordinate pre-construction activities

What You'll Offer :

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience :

  • At least five (5) years of experience in tenant finish design and buildout.
  • Managing multiple simultaneous projects in an operating airport setting.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, and experience presenting at all levels of management.
  • Ability to interface with multiple departments to ensure stakeholders’ needs are satisfied.
  • Models DEN’s values and ethics on matters of equity, diversity and inclusion and team building. Values diversity of a global audience and supports plans and initiatives that reach and impact diverse communities.
  • Coordinates with and supports airport divisions, collaborates with key stakeholders and others in support of strategic priorities.

Required Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education requirement : Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience Requirement : Two (2) years of professional project management experience in the related occupational group including coordinating, administering, and monitoring projects.
  • Education / Experience Equivalency : One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
  • License / Certifications : Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
  • Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment .

Snow / Emergency Duties : Denver International Airport is a 24 / 7 / 365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and / or shifts
