As a Craft Supervisor, you will :
- Ensure that the Shop is pursuing Company goals for Safety, Quality and Productivity by overseeing the daily work performed.
- Develop and / or review project schedules and budgets during the planning phase.
- Allocate personnel and resources to efficiently support all contracts (including shift work) and work items.
- Oversee and monitor schedule performance, including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, investigation of late activities, project supervision, and the development of practical solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate project budget performance, including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, development of productivity enhancements and investigation of over-budget items.
- Monitor productivity across all shifts, including the amount and type of work assigned as well as the quality and quantity of work accomplished.
- Perform personnel related functions including, but not limited to, the supervision of employees, performance management, workforce reductions, promotions, demotions, and discipline.
- Ensure that employees understand and adhere to Company policies.
- Train and motivate employees in the areas of technical knowledge, safety, environmental and communication.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Required a high school diploma or equivalent degree and at least 5 years’ experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend NAVSEA standard items.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge in the relevant trade.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, supervise, and direct the work of other employees in the relevant trade or industry.
- Ability to use discretion and judgment in making operations and personnel decisions.
- Proficient computer skills required including experience with Microsoft Office programs and similar software.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain DBIDS to access Military Base
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ship Repair Experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range : $73582 - $125062
Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
