Our client is seeking a remote Accounting Clerk to join their growing team.
The Accounting Clerk will responsible for performing a variety of general accounting support tasks as well as reconciling and maintaining financial statements, records, and reports.
This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Job Requirements :
- Process, prepare, and issue numerous daily revenue invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process, prepare and issue numerous daily cash receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including filing and organizing documents as needed.
- Perform follow-up procedures on AR balances with Title companies to keep accounts current and accurate.
- Collaborate with other members of the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and address any issues that arise.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting with other tasks as needed.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Qualifications :
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- One (1) to Two (2) years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably as an accounting clerk or similar position.
