The Material Science Engineer is a high-energy and experienced Material Scientist, with hands-on, practical experience. This position will accelerate the technical and commercial traction of our core technologies and products.
Help us with our mission to save lives by designing next-generation flexible fuel cells and technical composites.
What you’ll be doing as a Manufacturing Engineer :
- Develop and execute trial plans.
- Create new products on our varied composites, textile, coating, foam, and additive manufacturing technologies.
- Work directly on 3D composites processing equipment and provide hands-on support to manufacturing and process engineers.
- Analyze test data of newly created products and raw materials.
- Advance Technical Readiness and Manufacturing Readiness Levels.
- Document processing conditions, test results, and other critical-to-quality data.
- Conduct material characterizations for FEA modeling.
- Research new composite materials and novel processes.
- Create work instructions and SOPs for Quality System.
Skills You Bring To This Role :
- Working knowledge of composites, textiles, foam, coating, and other processing equipment.
- Working knowledge of materials testing equipment.
- Eagerness to learn and explore advanced 3D composites, textile processes, and other Additive Manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of advanced fiber placement systems is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective team player, with strong critical thinking skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office : Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to create and read 3D Modeling is highly desired.
What You Need To Be Successful :
- 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or relevant / related disciplines.
