IT Co Ops

At Samtec, Co Ops work on real projects with direct impact to the business. You'll work in collaboration with teams across the world, spanning many technologies. Co Ops at Samtec are immediately involved in business critical situations and are challenged to achieve their goals. All co ops in the following programs have the opportunity to rotate between team programs based on the student's interest, skillset, and Samtec need.

Programs and Rotations

• Cyber Security Team — Co-ops on this team will have opportunities to gain knowledge in multiple security tools including Anti-Virus, Vulnerability Management, Security Awareness Training, and overall Security Operations. Co-ops will start off on the Technical Support team before being awarded the opportunity to be on the Cyber Security team.
• CS / EE — Computer Science / Electrical Engineering co-ops will work in areas where AI / ML, data science, infrastructure systems, and software development intersect with manufacturing, engineering, and R&D. Rotations are based on current business needs and student expertise.
• Data Team — The data team ensures available, accurate, and actionable information so the business can make proactive decisions. Rotations include opportunities as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data Engineer. Rotation opportunities exist between roles on the Data team and Software Development team.
• Software Development Team — Interns build and support applications powering the Samtec enterprise (sales, manufacturing, marketing, operations, and supply chain). Roles include Product Owner, Software Engineer, and UCD Designer. Rotation opportunities exist between roles on the Data team and Software Development team.
• Technical Support — The frontline of IT, spanning many technologies. Co-ops serve as a conduit between everyday users and system admins / engineers, gaining experience across various IT disciplines.
