OVERVIEW : The Manager, Juice Operations is a role that contributes to all production related areas and functions within the juice operation, along with the implementation of process efficiencies and best practices.
This role encompasses production duties and management as well as daily administrative duties for process control and record keeping.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS :
Communicates with customers and potential new customers to review, implement and monitor recipes and meet production, quality and delivery schedules.
Ensures consistency in taste and contents of finished product.
- Communicates daily with sales staff, quality assurance, and production to ensure customer needs are met.
- Reviews and approves daily / weekly bulk production plans / schedules.
- Works with transportation and production to resolve shipping issues.
- Ensures timely and accurate data entry of operations activities within Produce Pro.
- Oversees multiple-shift operations of the juice processing / production department.
- Works with the Maintenance Department to troubleshoot machines.
- Monitors raw material and packaging inventories to ensure adequate supply and freshness (rotation) to support production requirements.
- Responsible for on-time start up and / or shutdown of daily production run.
- Demonstrates efficient communication skills with all levels of organization to ensure order-fill process.
- Monitors downtime, identifies triggers, and implements tactics to reduce controllable causes to improve line efficiencies.
- Trains crew leads to understand KPIs and implement goals and objectives for crew leads to obtain results.
- Maintains a visible presence on the plant floor to monitor machine operations and provide technical guidance during all production and sanitation phases.
- Responsible for ensuring the effective training of staff in their respective operational competencies. Develops and implements training schedules and programs, including work instructions and safety training.
- Trains and develops hourly employees, facilitates all areas of people management, such as corrective action, attendance, time off, and other plant policies.
- Assures compliance with all safety, GMP / HACCP standards, and administration of policies regarding personnel practices.

QUALIFICATIONS :
- BA / BS degree and / or equivalent production supervisory experience (5 - 7 years).
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience leading hourly associates in a food manufacturing facility.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
- Ability to speak and understand both English and Spanish.
