JOB DESCRIPTION
The AV Sales and Design Specialist will be responsible for driving sales and designing custom AV solutions that meet our clients' needs.
This role requires a deep understanding of AV technology, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to build relationships with clients.
You will be a key link in ensuring that all projects properly designed and executed to the highest standards.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
Sales and Client Relations :
Work with VLCM account managers to Identify and pursue new AV business opportunities.
- Conduct calls and site visits to assess client needs and provide tailored AV solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and sales contracts.
- Work with VLCM account managers to negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Design and Consultation :
Work closely with clients to understand their AV requirements and preferences.
- Design custom AV systems, including audio, video, lighting, and control systems.
- Collaborate with the technical and project management team to create detailed project plans and timelines.
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the design and installation process.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience in AV sales and design, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of AV systems, components, and installation processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Proficiency in design & quoting software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.
- Preferred Qualifications :
- Certification in AV design or a related field (e.g., CTS, CEDIA, etc.).
- Experience working in commercial AV markets.
- Minimum of five years successfully selling in a business to business environment.
