Payroll Specialist Magnolia Health Systems is a statewide health care company with assisted living, pediatric and skilled nursing facilities.

Magnolia Health Systems management office is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to become a part of our team where our primary goal is to provide exceptional support to our facilities, employees, and residents.

For this role, Magnolia Health Systems is looking for a conceptual thinker who possesses outstanding organizational and time management skills.

The ideal candidate must be reliable, adept at accurately following instructions, and capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Abilities : Must possess good computer skills. Must have good time management and organizational skills.

Must have strong ethics and reliability. Must possess the ability to demonstrate good conflict management and decision-making skills, along with a solid understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, and payroll and benefits administration.

Must have the capability to perform basic mathematical skills, such as calculation of timecards. Must be self-motivated, possess good problem-solving skills and be ready and willing to learn and adapt to changes.

Education and Experience Requirements : High School diploma or equivalent required Degree in Accounting and / or business preferred One or more years’ experience in a payroll support role preferred Job Functions : Maintains personnel records for facilities as assigned.

Processes onboarding packets, change forms, termination forms, and employee transfers. Assist in implementing and enforcing all company policies and procedures.

Reviewing timecards for accuracy prior to entering and processing payroll. Reporting as required by federal and state regulations.

This includes but is not limited to : Indiana New Hire Reporting, Social Security Verification, Certification and Licensure Verification, and tax reporting.

Reporting as required by CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) Assist in administering and maintaining compensation, benefits, and company records.

Reports salary complaints to appropriate management and notifies appropriate personnel of action taken. All other job duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
