Senior Applications Consultant - ETL Informatica
We are seeking an experienced ETL Lead proficient in Informatica Power Center, with a strong background in Mainframe technologies including Cobol, JCL, and DB2, as well as Easytrieve.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes and data integration solutions
Location - Woodland Hills, CA (hybrid)
Duration - Fulltime
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica Power Center.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Utilize Mainframe skills (Cobol, JCL, DB2) and Easytrieve for data extraction and integration tasks.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the ETL process.
- Work with Oracle VPD and PostgreSQL databases for data access and management.
- Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for automation and scheduling of ETL jobs.
- Integrate data via web services and API endpoints as part of ETL workflows.
- Use Erwin Data Modeler for data modeling and schema design.
- Implement Informatica ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) for data governance and compliance.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Informatica Power Center for ETL development.
- Strong understanding of Mainframe technologies : Cobol, JCL, DB2, and Easytrieve.
- Experience with Oracle VPD and / or PostgreSQL for database operations.
- Unix shell scripting skills for automation and scheduling.
- Familiarity with web services and API integration.
- Knowledge of Erwin Data Modeler for data modeling and schema design.
- Understanding of Informatica ILM concepts for data lifecycle management.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications in Informatica Power Center or related technologies.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
