Our client in the Oil and Gas industry is looking for a Direct Hire , Technical Business Analyst Analyst in Houston, TX .
You will be responsible for supporting the application E1 and gathering requirements from the business for enhancements / implementations.
You will be part of the NGL group and partner with vendors as well. Due to being on-site only candidates currently located in Houston will be considered.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Analysis : Collaborate with business users to gather and document requirements, analyze business processes, and identify areas for improvement.
Translate business needs into technical specifications for developers.
Technical Support : Provide ongoing support for third-party energy software systems, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and system maintenance.
Act as a liaison between business users and software vendors.
- SQL Development : Utilize intermediate SQL skills to write queries, generate reports, and analyze data. Ensure data integrity and support data-related activities.
- Microsoft BI Solutions : Leverage exposure to Microsoft BI platforms to develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions that support business decision-making.
- Collaboration : Work closely with developers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful software implementations and ongoing system enhancements.
- Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation related to software configurations, processes, and user guides. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting 3rd party energy software systems
- 4+ years of experience with SQL including writing queries and analyzing data
- Exposure to Microsoft BI platforms and solutions
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

- Experience supporting E1
